Students participate in large-scale math & literacy games that promote teamwork, movement, and problem solving.
Includes two 60-minute sessions with up to 75 students per session.
Designed for Kindergarten to Grade 6.
Program also available in French.

About the Program
The Half Day Math & Literacy Program brings the Droll 2 Play experience directly into the school day with interactive activities that get students moving, collaborating, and thinking creatively.
This program is perfect for smaller schools or for focusing on specific grade groups within a larger school.
Students rotate through engaging stations designed to support problem solving, teamwork, and curriculum connections.
Program Details
• Perfect for small schools or specific grade groups
• Designed to accommodate up to 150 students (Kindergarten to Grade 6)
• Includes two 60-minute sessions
• Sessions are typically scheduled in the afternoon
Each session includes:
• Up to 75 students per session
• Students divided into teams of 4–8
Student Leaders
Up to 24 intermediate or high school student leaders are asked to help facilitate the stations.
The number of leaders required will depend on the number of participating students and stations.
Student leaders guide teams through the stations while the Droll 2 Play facilitator oversees the program.
Droll 2 Play provides:
• Instructions at each station
• Grade-specific curriculum connections
• Guidance for all volunteers
A high-energy facilitator supports both student leaders and participants throughout the program.
How the Program Works
The program takes place in the school gymnasium.
Setup and Pack-Up
• Setup takes approximately 2–2.5 hours
• Pack-up requires approximately 1.5 hours
• A clean gym floor is required
A typical Droll 2 Play crew includes:
• 1 technical setup expert
• 1 Mega FUN facilitator
Depending on the gym size, 10–12 interactive stations are set up.
Gym Guidelines
• No shoes permitted in the gym during the program
• Students are encouraged to wear silly socks
• A “Shoe Parking Lot” mat is provided
• No food or drinks permitted in the gym
Volunteers
Up to 24 volunteers are asked to help facilitate stations.
Volunteers may include:
• Intermediate or high school students
• Parents
• Teachers
• School council members
• Administrators
• College or university students
• Approved volunteer groups
Each station requires a minimum of 2 facilitators.
Droll 2 Play provides 30 minutes of training before the program begins.
Gym Availability
The school gym must be available for the full duration of the visit.
For a typical Half Day program, the gym should be available between:
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
This allows time for setup, sessions, and pack-up.
