1 Full Day + Math Night

Bring the Droll 2 Play experience to your school for a full day of interactive learning, followed by an exciting evening Math & Literacy Night for families.

Students participate in engaging challenges during the school day, then return with their families for a fun, high-energy evening event.

This option is perfect for schools looking to combine student participation with meaningful family engagement.

About the Program

The 1 Full Day + Math & Literacy Night Program delivers a full day of interactive math & literacy experiences, followed by an evening event that brings families into the learning environment.

Students rotate through large-scale stations during the school day that promote teamwork, movement, and problem solving. In the evening, families are invited to join in the fun and experience the activities together.

Program Details

• Perfect for schools wanting both daytime learning and family engagement
• Designed to accommodate up to 300 students during the school day
• Includes up to four 60-minute sessions
• Up to 75 students per session, divided into teams of 4–8
• Includes a Math & Literacy Night event for families

Student Leaders

Approximately 30–60 intermediate or high school student leaders are asked to help facilitate the stations.

The number of leaders required will depend on the number of participating students and stations.

Student leaders guide teams through the activities while the Droll 2 Play facilitator oversees the program.

Droll 2 Play provides:

• Instructions at each station
• Grade-specific curriculum connections
• Guidance for all volunteers

A high-energy facilitator supports both student leaders and participants throughout the program.

How the Program Works

The program takes place in the school gymnasium during the day, followed by an evening Math & Literacy Night event.

Setup and Pack-Up

• Setup takes approximately 2–2.5 hours
• Equipment remains set up for the full day and evening event
• Pack-up requires approximately 1.5 hours after the evening event
• A clean gym floor is required

A typical Droll 2 Play crew includes:
• 1 technical setup expert
• 1 Mega FUN facilitator

Depending on the gym size, 10–12 interactive stations are set up.

Gym Guidelines

• No shoes permitted in the gym during the program
• Students are encouraged to wear silly socks
• A “Shoe Parking Lot” mat is provided
• No food or drinks permitted in the gym

Volunteers

Approximately 30–60 volunteers are asked to help facilitate stations.

Volunteers may include:

• Intermediate or high school students
• Parents
• Teachers
• School council members
• Administrators
• College or university students
• Approved volunteer groups

Each station requires a minimum of 2 facilitators.

Droll 2 Play provides 30 minutes of training before the program begins.

Gym Availability

The gym must be available for the full duration of the visit.

Typical availability required:

Daytime Program: Early setup (approximately 7:00 AM start)
Evening Event: Until approximately 9:00–10:00 PM

This allows time for setup, program sessions, and the Math & Literacy Night event.
